The successful survival of the Sand Palace highlighted the proper importance of proper construction techiques and building codes in hurricane prone areas. The Sand Palace gained significant attention and became a of resilience in the face of natural disasters. It also served as an inspiration for homeowners and builders looking to create more hurricane resistant structures. However, it worth noting that while the Sand Palace was able to withstand Hurricane Michael, it survival doesn't guarantee that all houses built with similar methods will have the same outcome in different hurricanes. Each storm is unique and factors such as storm intensity, duration and direction can greatly impact the structural integrity of buildings.
